You will work as part of the medical in patient service promoting independence with a primary focus on admission avoidance and rapid discharge. Your experience will include working within the acute field, preferably in either an emergency department or medical assessment unit. You must be adept in managing competing demands and experience of supervising others would be desirable. A vacancy has arisen for an enthusiastic Band 7 Physiotherapist in MSK Physiotherapy Services at BNHFT, Basingstoke. You will work amongst professional MSK teams led by highly skilled clinical specialist physiotherapists, which also includes Band 7, Band 6 and Band 5 Physiotherapists plus experienced and competent Physiotherapy Assistants. There is also the potential to further develop your skills by working alongside Consultant colleagues in Orthopaedic Clinics. The Physiotherapy Department receives referrals from GP’s, Consultants and multi-professional MSK clinics. We are committed to ongoing professional development and you will be required to lead and participate actively in all aspects of training and service development. You will also be required to be the lead on clinical audit & quality within the department. In return we want to see evidence of advanced level CPD in MSK Therapy. | BASINGSTOKE & NORTH HAMPSHIRE NHS FOUNDATION TRUST Senior Inpatient Physiotherapist 12 month Fixed Term Contract Maternity Leave Cover Department: Physiotherapy BNHH Hours: 37.5 plus On Call Band & Salary: Band 6 £24,831 to £33,436 We are looking for someone with a minimum of 18 months to 2 years post registration experience – broad based, covering core subjects in the acute hospital setting. The post is to help us cover maternity leave which we have in Surgery and Critical Care, Cancer services, Neurology and Elderly Care. We have a positive, proactive team of physiotherapists who work very closely with the rest of the MDT and would love to have the help of someone who is keen to develop his/ her inpatient skills with the rest of our friendly, professional team. You need to have good generic inpatient skills, be prepared to work in a variety of settings, be confident in your decision making and also be competent and able to undertake emergency on call duties. As well as providing a high standard of evidence based patient care you will have an active role to play in assisting with some service development – including audit. You will also be expected to assist in the development of more junior staff and students. In return you will be supported in your professional development through regular structured training and appraisal.
